Here we go again for round 2 of Covid vs. The Rest of the World!
Fortunately, we're in a good starting point.
We'd like to re-assure all our customers that we are classed as an essential business (we've always known we're special but it's always nice to have it confirmed!) so we are allowed to stay open and continue trading through-out the second lockdown.
We've had a few queries this week about what exactly this means, so please see below some commonly asked questions and our responses:
1.) Are you open as normal?
We are essentially open as normal, we are just still operating the appointment only system as put in place at the beginning of the last lockdown. We can't accommodate walk-ins at the minute due to the importance of keeping all of you safe, so please be sure to call ahead and book an appointment ahead of seeing us. We have same day appointments available most days, so you shouldn't have too wait too long to see us!
2.) Can you still deliver items, and set them up as necessary?
We are still delivering as normal. Both our standard delivery service, local and national engineer delivery service are still available. We can deliver your items and set them up as necessary, regardless of where you are in the country. The only time we may have a difficulty is with care homes since some are operating their own policies about who can and can't enter, so it's worth checking with them specifically beforehand if that is where you would like us to deliver too.
Delivery times may take a little longer than normal, but we still aim to deliver between 5-7 working days for standard delivery and 7-10 days for engineer delivery. If urgent delivery is required this can usually be accommodated.
3.) Is your service department running as usual?
Yes, we are still able to service and repair as usual. You're welcome still to drop your scooter/powerchair in to us, or we are offering a contact free collection and delivery service if that is preferable to you. Please be aware that wait times may be a little longer than usual if you require parts since we're having trouble with supply of certain items, but we will always endeavour to keep you informed when this is an issue. We can supply you with a hire scooter/wheelchair if you are local to us and your repair-work has been delayed.
4.) What about insurance or warranty issues/claims?
We're still able to add new policies, and deal with any claims or breakdown queries as usual.
5.) Is it safe to come in and see you?
Yes! We've done everything possible to make sure we are Covid secure. Our appointment only system means we are limited to only one customer at any time so there is no chance of mixing with anyone other than the assistant helping you when you arrive. All of our products are sanitized between each demonstration, and hand sanitizer and hand washing facilities are available upon entry into the building. Masks are worn at all times, with the addition of gloves/visors for appointments that require physical contact such as measurements.
